Edit Student Passwords
For security reasons, all student passwords are encrypted and cannot be viewed. We can't even see them. Teachers, however, can assign new passwords to their students. To do this, teachers should:
1) Sign in to TCI, and go to My Programs from the dropdown menu to the right of your name.
2) Click on "Add/Edit Students" under the class the student is in. the notepad icon, which is in the "Students" column.
3) Select the notepad icon next to the student's name to edit.
4) Assign the student a new password by typing over the existing password. It must be at least 6 characters long, and it is case sensitive.
Note for teachers with districts that manage student accounts: If your school or district rosters your students for you, this password update will only be temporary and will only be valid until it is overwritten by your district. Contact your account administrator to request your student's district-assigned password.
