Changing a Teacher Email

If your district is auto-rostering with Clever or OneRoster, go to this article.

Otherwise, follow these steps to change a teacher's email address:

  • Step 1: Go to the teacher table in the Subscription Manager portion of your subscription. Find the teacher and click on the edit button.
  • Step 2: Update the teacher’s email and any other fields that have changed (ex. Last name) and save your changes.


Troubleshooting: If you are managing teachers and students using CSV uploads (automated or not), you should follow the steps above before uploading files with the teacher’s new email. If you do not, your teacher will not see classroom assignments and assessment scores. To fix this issue:

  • Step 1: Go to the teacher table in the Subscription Manager portion of your subscription. Find the teacher account associated with their new email and click on the edit button.
  • Step 2: Change the email to a fake address (ex. example@district_name.edu). This step frees up the teacher’s email address, so you can use it in a different account.
  • Step 3: Return to the teacher table in the Subscription Manager portion of your subscription. Find the teacher account associated with their old email and click on the edit button.
  • Step 4: Update the teacher email to the new one and edit any other fields that have changed (ex. Last name) and save your changes.
  • Step 5: Upload your CSV files again, and you should be set.
